| I've heard of this being used on hail dents: 1. Leave car out in sun, getting body panels hot. 2. Use chunks of dry ice wrapped in a towel to "pucker" the ding, bringing it flat. I have heard from several people out here that it works great. I doubt they've done it on aluminum hoods though. There is a fair bit of hail here in Tulsa in the spring, so this has become a common DIY ding removal, but i've never seen it done in person.
